Episode 3 of the Australian Gold Weekly Review is here. And you need to watch this. Gold and silver flipped the script this week. When we filmed, prices were sliding. But you may have noticed that they staged a quick bounce and ended the week much higher.

What drove this sudden rally?

Even though we didn’t see it coming, we identified the forces moving these markets right now. Check out our analysis and grade us on how much we made the right call before the fact.

And that’s just the start. We briefly went through a few producers that announced their full-year results this week.

Find out about:

Northern Star Resources (ASX: NST): How did the market respond to reports of a record cash build for 2025?

Genesis Minerals (ASX: GMD): What’s really behind their 2026 production outlook?

Vault Minerals (ASX: VAU): What really caused the share price to jump after the full-year announcement? The record annual profit, a 10% on-market share buyback plan or the MD succession plan ?

Alkane Resources (ASX: ALK): What’s the outlook post-merger with Mandalay Resources?

We’ve got it all.

Meanwhile, junior producer, Beacon Minerals (ASX: BCN) took the honours of being the biggest gainer this week, inching ahead of explorers that normally dominate the tables:

Meanwhile, the top 10 decliners were small explorers that continue to bob up and down daily:

It may be a bull market for the bigger companies, but the small end of town continues to remain unloved.

Our company in focus this week is mid-tier gold producer, Regis Resources (ASX: RRL). The company popped up in the Australian Financial Review as rumours swirled around a potential purchase of the remaining 70% stake of the Tropicana mine, currently owned by international gold giant, AngloGold Ashanit (NYSE: AU).

Regis Resources purchased a 30% stake in April 2021 for $903 million. We delved into the operational highlights before and after the purchase and how Regis Resources performed overall.

Did the purchase pay off? On one hand, I liked how the operation helped smooth out the company’s rising costs from the ageing Duketon operation.

However, Brian thought otherwise. He asked several questions from the mine to the company as a whole. We delved into the timing and mused over the potential price tag should this rumour turn out to be reality.

As our title suggests, we dived into the rabbit hole. And true to the name, Brian invited Marshmallow, a soft toy rabbit, to join us on the journey.
