This exclusive interview that took place on 21st March 2025 between Brian and the Managing Director of Kingston Resources (ASX: KSN), Andrew Corbett. The dialogue covered the company’s progress and outlook with Corbett outlining the company’s achievements in strengthening cash flow and delivering growth.

Kingston Resources is entering a pivotal stage, with 2024 shaping up as a true transition year. It plans to become Australia’s next gold and copper producer.

At Mineral Hill (NSW), Kingston has successfully transitioned from tailings retreatment to open-pit mining. The mine produced over 3,000 ounces last quarter. The next phase is to scale up to a 20,000 - 25,000 ounce annual run rate. Strong gold prices help expand its operating margins. The flotation plant began operating with concentrate sales expected mid-year. This will boost recoveries and lower costs.

Exploration continues, as it is an important part of growing its operation. Underground drilling is underway to extend mine life and convert resources into reserves. Near-mill targets such as Southern Ore Zone and Pearse South add further upside. Corbett also highlighted opportunities to utilise Mineral Hill’s unique position as the only operating processing plant in the Southern Cobar Basin. This will open doors to potential partnerships or toll treatment.

Meanwhile, Kingston continues to advance strategic options for the world-class Misima Gold Project in PNG - a 20-year, 130,000 + ounce per annum asset. There was strong industry interest with many parties presenting their proposals. Negotiations were ongoing at the time, with the sale of this mine to Ok Tedi Mining announced on 20th May 2025. The company completed the sale in mid-July.

With gold at record highs, stabilising costs, and a clear focus on cash generation, Kingston Resources is moving from promise to performance. As Corbett puts it, the mission is simple: “grow cash quarter on quarter and deliver shareholder returns.”
